The cord looks fine, so I think it may be the socket in the device. How can I fix this/get it repaired?
Sounds like a loose USB port on the Jetpack. Only way to repair that (without voiding your warranty) is to contact VZW and have them send you a replacement under the warranty. USB ports are normally very quick and easy to troubleshoot with VZW reps. They will get you a replacement without much effort as long as you are covered. If not then they will review your options for purchasing a replacement or upgrading your device.
