My devices will not connect to the 7730L without waking it.

Purchased a jetpack 7730L and cannot get my devices to connect without manually waking the 7730L each time. Posting in forum said to change settings to "never sleep". This did not fix the problem. Rep at VZ store said that 7730L was designed to go dormant when not in use and must be manually waken with power button. Is there any way around this? Kind of defeats purpose of wifi. Thanks

cwo4ss, thank you for taking the steps you have thus far to get this figured out. I understand your concern with manually waking up the device. When the device is not in use after a period of time do you see the blue power indicator? Has this always been this way or did this just become a concern?
