Okay, so i have an LG enV touch with unlimited data plan. Now i want to use it as a modem for my netbook. Will there be an extra charge if I use it as a modem? I also download the VZAccess Manager, but never tried to connect to the internet using my phone... I'm afraid there might be extra charges.... so, yeah... can someone help me?
The process is called tethering. You would have to get the package from VZW in order to tether (use your device as a modem for your laptop). The package runs about $30.Your current plan includes data used on the device. It does not cover data used by another device(your laptop).
For basic handsets the tethering feature is an additional $49.99 on your plan and will include 5GB of access from your laptop. Data directly on the phone itself will remain unlimited.
