Netbook Users - Does Size Matter?

I'm considering purchasing the Netbook.  However, if I do I'd be transitioning from a 17" screen and large keyboard.  Those of you who have made the jump to the Verizon Notebook, do you mind sharing how comfortable you are with the smaller hardware?  Are you happy with its performance so far?  Concerns?

Thanks.

I have friends that have the netbook. There only complaing is the size of the screen. But for the price and what you can do on it they love it.

Thanks, Grim. That does help.  I think I'll go into the Verizon store and view the netbook in real time.  That way I can get a better of idea of whether my customers will be able to properly view PDF documents on that small screen.  I would not be using that netbook as a primary computer.

The Netbooks I've played around with, I haven't noticed much issue with the small screen.  It's a personal preference I think.

Of course, its bigger than my Storm's screen, so that could be where my bias is coming from! :smileyvery-happy:

I've had my netbook three weeks so I think I have gained some objectivity.

I have a 22 desktop and a 17 laptop. So, I am switching through a wide variety of issues. The size of the screen has been no issue at all. However, I am having to adjust to the keyboard size. This will not be a long term problem as I went through it with the laptop also, especially since the desktop has an ergonomic board. Once I use them all to a certain extent it just takes a moment for my fingers to go to the keys correctly.

A tip on screen size. Upper right tool bar , drop down tool and choose full screen. You have a much larger screen view then and when you need the bar just move the cursor up to the top. This is something a lot of people forget about because it is almost redundant on most screens. It is just the thing for the netbook.

Enjoy,

AC
