Network Extender overpriced?

250 bucks plus tax to receive a signal I SHOULD have been getting over the past 10 years after shelling out around 8000 bucks over that time for service! I have to go to my attic OR up into the neighbor's field, over 100 yards away, to get even one bar here at home. If I drive a half mile, I get good signal. Verizon has a huge file of my complaints on this but has done nothing, not even stopped by to check it themselves. I got the Extender in June -- works fine whenever the system's not down, which seems to be frequent. All of us who have suffered through poor or non-signal issues should get a rebate. Just think about not being able to even call 911 without running up into a field or driving down the road. I wrote a letter to Verizon's "Customer Service" with a copy to a VP on this issue. If everyone writes, maybe they'll take notice. But I'm not holding my breath.
