when I turn the extender off , my phones show no service is that supposed 2 happen?

No useally..unless you are in a really really dead area.
How many bars do you have when the network extender is active

I have all 6 bars when its on , & usually 3 to 4 when its off

mariismari, are you having any service issues? Typically, a network extender isn't needed when you have 2-3 bars of service on your device. After you turn off the Network Extender, try powering off your phone and power it back up to see if that resets the device.
