Network sharing with VZAccess

I have tried everything I know to do! I can connect my laptops together and I have excellent signal strength, but it will not let me connect to the internet. I have windows vista on both laptops. I was able to connect both laptops with an alltel usb, but when I try the verizon usb it will not connect to the internet. If anyone knows more aboout this please let me know if it is possible or if I am just doing something wrong. Thanks!
