New MiFi Customer Issue re:multiple users

We have been users of the USB727 Modem for some time with no issues. Yesterday I upgraded our account to the MiFi 2200. I removed the previous version of VZ Acess Mgr from my laptop and installed the new one and was able to connect to the MiFi 2200 and it found the appropriate signal. I was going to remove the previous VZ Acess Mgr from my wife's laptop but she was able to see the MiFi 2200 in her list of wireless sources and was able to connect to the MiFi 2200 and use it.

She is traveling on business today and took the MiFi with her. When she reached her location she logged on but with the MiFi on she couldn't see it in her wireless list. There is Verizon coverage in this location since she had previously used it with the USB 727. Is the issue that she did not have the newest VZ Acess Mgr on her laptop? If so how did she connect the previous day to it? Was it because I had started the Wifi hotspot after I had connected with my copy of VZ Acess Mgr? Yesterday even when I logged off she was able to use the WiFi so I thought perhaps she didn't have to install the new VZ Acess Mgr right away.

We have two laptops in our house and the second one - my wifes does not ...never had.. VZAcess installed on it. and it recognizes the MIFI220 just like any wireless HotSpot.

However, the first time she accessed it we had to give the login/password stuff so maybe that has to be done again if the MIFI got a firmware update.

I'm not sure, why it allowed the connection prior. Have her dial *228 send and option1 to re program her device.  If this does not help, she will need to download the latest VZ Access software.  Click here to download the software http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=24174.  HTH!
