Port Forwarding & Cradlepoint 1200

I found this in an old posting so I couldn't reply directly...

"The best and simpliest way to the port forwarding is to get a wireless router from CradlePoint and plug in your Mifi into it, I got mine from here http://www.3gstore.com/cradlepoint , with a router you will only need to setup the wireless connection once and any user on any computer can connect via wifi or ethernet.  You will also be able to custom your port forwarding features, allow load balance, and prioritize traffic,  its so easy even a cavemen can do it."

I see the MBR 1200 has USB ports.  Does this mean the MiFi will operate in tether mode when plugged into one of the ports?  I need to forward ports 80, 443 & 4125 for remote access to my Windows Home Server and so far no luck trying to use the MiFi as a hotspot.

I have an MBR1000 and a CTR350 that I bought here: http://moremobileinternet.com/ The CradlePoint routers work great. You can learn about their different models at www.cradlepoint.com and find the one that would work best for you. But yes, you would plug your MIFI into the router to supply the internet signal.
