Question about data usage in Puerto Rico with the MiFi

Hi to every one on the forum. I know that VZW use to be in Puerto Rico but the sold to Claro!. I went to a VZW Store today and asked about the MiFi and if it will work in Puerto Rico. The lady was like mmmmmmm. She checked her coverage map and told me that they did have coverage in Puerto Rico but didn't know if it was with roaming. I want to have the wireless function with that device but not the big bill. Any one can tell me if the coverage the offer is Roaming Data or is just like if i was in the states? Thanks in advance.
