Roaming On Network Extender. Why?

For the last few weeks all the Verizon phones in the house started to display the roaming indicator on the phone. I confirmed the phones are connected to the NE using the dial code to verify the connection and I updated the phone using *228.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

I was told it had something to do with the network switching to 4G

Roaming inside the united states is covered by most plans these days..

What impact are you having that caused this question?

Don't know if it was coincidence or not, but I rebooted my extender and the problem went away.

Thank your for your feed back. Roaming would not apply to network extenders if your on our Nationwide Coverage Plans. If your Network Extender shows roaming, rebooting it can reset your device and also refresh your signal connection to the towers.

Thanks

Have the Verizon Network Extender that supports 3G. My Galaxy GNex updated to Jelly Bean yesterday and now my phone also indicates that it is roaming (R). Did not do that before the JB update...it reported 3G like it should. Data also has problems now.

@tbadam - Definitely can't have your phone act that way! Have you tried resetting your network extender as well like jfrey3460 suggested? This may also help you as well.
Please let us know so we may assist if necessary.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and feedback. Everyone take care!

Yea...have reset the network extender twice...no change. But to be sure, by reset you mean power cycle, correct?
