I have had this issue 3 times. Jetpack asks for software update and once the update is complete, intermittent internet outages occur. Any way to roll back software or wipe the SD card and start again and not accept the software update.

Which Jetpack (assume MHS700L Ellipsis)? Typically, the thing to do after any firmware update is to power cycle the device and perform a hardware reset. It wouldn’t hurt to remove and reinstall the battery and SIM Card as well. If the problem is not resolved contact Verizon Wireless Customer Service (800) 922-0204 for further assistance.

Its a
Jetpack™ 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot™
and I have done all that and talked to Verizon. I have a different model jetpack that works perfectly fine so I know its not my location, my PCs or any other variable. I am on my 3rd JetPack under warranty. It seems that until the software update is done, the jetpack works fine. What I am trying to figure out is does the software upgrade go to the SD card or the firmware of the jetpack. If its to the SD card, I saw somethign about reformatting the SD card, however I am not quite clear how to do this as I don't see it as a drive when I connect the jetpack to my laptop. Just looking for other options. This really needs to go to Pantech but I don't have any power there.

“Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot” does not define which Jetpack.
The brand Pantech has the MHS291L – is this the one you have?
The MHS291L does not have an SD Card. It has a SIM Card under the battery.

You are correct. It looks just like a phone SD card and yes I have a MHS291LVW. Is there any way to wipe that thing and start over so I can choose NO to the software update??
Thanks for sticking with me!

I don’t think you can erase a SIM Card and make it do anything close to working properly afterward. I think erasing it would destroy it. In another thread, a Verizon agent made the comment that you can get a replacement SIM Card from a Verizon store, for free.
Software Version: M0291VWE713F.A6.

This is mandatory update, I think if removed it would be re-downloaded and reinstalled.

That is the update that is causing me so many issues and its not mandatory if I don't choose okay. it would probably just stay there unless they can force updates. But this one is really screwing up my internet access. I may try the replacement SIM card. Thank you for the advice!!! Its a least a start...
