Tethering help

I have a Blackberry Curve & 2 daughters have storms.  What is the best plan for us to be able to use phone as modem.  One daughter is away at college.  The other daughter uses her's mainly for Skype and browsing.  I need mine for everything and anything.  Any suggestions for the best way to go.  Researching on verizon.com showed me a $15.00 option with 5GB nfor BB devices.  Retail store told me today it wasn'[t available for my phones.  Any suggestions?

Dont listen to the store, call it in. There is a cap for 5 gigs, not recommended for college students(downloading mp3s, assignments, ect. Also were you alltel at one point or always been verizon?
