My wife tried to load my software on another computer but when it tells you to plug in the UM 175 it never recognizes it. My wife plugged it in before installation thinking it would just work, and the instructions say not to do that until installation is done. Could this be what messed it up, and if so, can I get it off to start over?
The user manual does state that if you insert the modem in before the installation process is done, your device could become damaged. If you have not yet installed the software then it would be best for you to do so to see if the device has been damaged or not. Install the software included in the installation CD and configure the UM175 USB device.
