Hi fdleyda,

Your USB device is designed to work best with VZAccess Manager default settings upon software installation, just make sure to have the latest software version available for your operating system, you can check for software updates at the above link.

If you encounter any connection issues in the future please contact our tech support department at 1-800-922-0204 and we'll be happy to further assist you. Please have your computer and USB device available for troubleshooting when you call us.

Using the Verizon MiFi 2200 as a USB modem on Windows 7 without the VZAccess Manager.

Connect the MiFi 2200 via USB.
It should be recognized as a CDROM drive.
CMD-Run As Administrator.
Install the DriverInstaller.msi

Reboot
Create a new dialup conection using Novatel Wireless Modem
Phone Number #777
No user name
No password

I didn't bother with any special settings, and the throughput is the same as when I am connected via WiFi.
