I tried to update my VZAccess Manager software and the installer crashes, and the installed VZAccess Manager application crashes. Since I was up for New Every Two, I've upgraded from a UMB150 to a MiFi 2200 in the hopes I wouldn't need to use VZAccess Manager, but that's not the case.
The installer crashes after the "Adding icon to Dock" screen: "Installer quit unexpectedly while using the InstallerHelperPlugin plugin".

[Yes, it says "smirthmicro".]
When I click OK on that crash reporter and try to start the VZAccess Manager from the Dock, it also crashes immediately:

Is there a way I can manually uninstall what it's done to start from a clean slate? One of the first times I installed this (before I got the MiFi 2200) I was able to fire up VZAM without it crashing, but only once. Sigh. Any hints?

I was able to activate by booting into Windows XP (I have it installed on a Boot Camp partition) and installing that way. I spend most of my time in MacOSX, though, and although I can now connect to the MiFi via wifi, I won't be able to tether because the VZAccess Manager installer crashes every time I try to install it -- just after the "Add an icon to the Dock" step. And the installed application (it gets installed even though the installer crashes) crashes immediately on startup.
Any hints, anyone?
Tech support said I could uninstall by choosing uninstall from the VZAccess Manager menu, but of course that doesn't work because I can't even get into VZAccess Manager because it crashes at startup.

Try booting Mac OS in 32 bit mode (hold down 3 and 2 keys during startup. I was able to install it that way. Unfortunately in the default 64-bit mode the VZAccess Manager doesn't work (can't find my MiFi2200).
