I can no longer connect to the internet through my LG600. I get an error WMC671 when I click Connect.
I've rebooted, reinstalled VZAccess Manager, Upgraded the device drivers, and used differnet USB ports.
Anyone have any other suggestions?

It appears the problem is nation wide and has been happening all day today - just 4G devices are affected. Here is a Tweet from VZW 30 mins ago...

The LG VL600 device draws the maximum amount of power through the USB port, which conflicts with Windows power management system. The computer attempts to manage the power of the connection, which causes the WMC671 error that you are receiving. The LG is performing to specification, and it is drawing an approved amount of power through the USB port, but the computer system is cutting and managing power in an attempt to extend the battery life of the laptop. To resolve this error code, please making the following adjustments to the computer:
1. Go to the Control Panel in Windows. You may access this by going to: Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2. Make sure you are in "Classic View" as opposed to "Category View" and select "Device Manager".
3. Scroll on down to the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers", expand the category and look for any "USB Root Hubs".
4. Right click each "USB Root Hub" and select "Properties"
5. Click the "Power Management" tab at the top of the new window.
6. Uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." check box.
7. Save, exit, close out of Device Manager and remove the USB modem.
8. Reboot the computer, plug the modem back in, and access the internet.

Sadly, changing the USB Root Hub settings, does not fix the issue. I have this issue on and off. I will not be able to connect for a hour or so, then I can connect.
This error is a little annoying as there seems to be no reason that I know of. Reinstall software does not help, changing the USB settings does not help.
Makes me wonder if it is A) The device or B) Or Network issues.

I lost connection while I was on the pc. I tried to reconnect and got the error code wmc671. Previously I tried everything I could think of until I just reinstalled windows and started over to solve the problem. This time I followed your steps to the USB Root Hub and went to the power tab and pressed the refresh button on all the USB ports. This enabled me to recover my connection when nothing else has ever worked in the past. This problem has caused me to wipe my entire computer clean and start new. It is a major problem. I hope this will save someone some trouble in the future. It worked for me and I hope it will work for you.
5. Click Power tab.
6. Click refresh button.

UPDATE:
My previous solution did not work a second time around, but I fooled around in the same area and fixed it somehow. Maybe I did something else last time that fixed it without realizing it. Two times though I have fixed the problem by fooling around in the USB root hub.area. Good Luck.

11/16/2011 and I received this code. I've tried all the posts that folks suggested but it didn't work. This has just happened after updating the device.
What are my options for getting connected to the internet again.
Thanks

Hello LBK,
May I ask are you still receiving error code WMC671on your computer? If so then I am available to assist. What operating system do you have on your computer? Also, what version of VZ Access Manager do you have installed? You can check the VZ Access Manager version by going to Help > About VZAccess Manager. The correct version for the LG VL600 4G modem is v7.7.1 (2707e). If this is not the version that you have then I would recommend uninstalling the program, reboot the computer, and reinstall the program. The program can be reinstalled from the CD that came with the equipment or from our website. If you have an alternate internet source, like wi-fi, then you can visit the link below for the most current version of VZAccess Manager, based on device of course.
http://vzam.net/download/supported.aspx
Once the program has been downloaded and installed, the device can be reactivated by going to the steps below.
NOTE: The steps below are for Windows based computers.
Detect Devices > Auto Detect > Start. Once the device has been detected, go to Option from the main VZAccess screen & select Activation.
Once the activation has completed and the connected message is shown at the bottom of the VZAccess screen, try to browse to a web page. If you are still experiencing issues then please reply with your findings so I can further assist.
Thank you..

I have not had this modem for 24 hours yet and it wont work! It worked for a total of 4 hours and now won't connect. I am hetting error code WMC671. I am running XP Pro SP3, 32 bit and the latest access manager software. I NEED a functional modem! I have tried all the "fixes" in earlier posts with no success. I attempted to activate the modem as instructed in the last post but under options I don't have an activate button to click. VERY FRUSTRATING!! any other suggestions? other than another provider?

Is there any known outage or problem going on with this WMC671 error. My company has 5 of these and they are all getting this error.

Yes last time this happened I spent 4 hrs installing/unplugging/rebooting etc. Later I find it was "regional" 4G outage. It is not a USB power supply issue. When the error occurs I get it on all 3 of my computers (2pc's and 1 laptop). I don't know how support does not know this? I also rec'd the error on Dec 7 (the nationwide outtage).
Receiving error code today and had trouble maintaining connection last night and this AM. Anyone want to bet that another "regional" outage? The topper is I don't have 4G service available but was forced to upgrade to 4G compatible modem. The old 3G worked great! I have continuous disconnects/lags etc with this new 600 modem and have it locked to a 3G connection. So even though I have 3G I still get problems when the 4G goes down. I have heard many have opted to purchase the UML 190 and the connection stabilized significantly. You can get lucky and find them on Ebay.
