I have a 5 spot that works wired, but it broadcasts the wrong SSID instead of being AC30 abcd its Ac30 wxyz so the last 4 are wrong. the password doesnt work on it, so im forced to use it in tethered mode. What solution is there? it worked fine for about 10 days

The issues outlined on your post may occur when the AC30 Five Spot is used in a heavily saturated WIFI area. Please try changing WebGUI settings from Auto Channel to a specific channel manually as indicated below:

Step 1 -Once connected to the 5-Spot's, open an internet browser to login into the 5-Spot. In the address space of the internet browser enter: http://192.168.0.1 to connect to the 5-Spot's interface. Enter the credentials (User Name: admin Password: admin, different if you previously changed them) and click on Login.

Step 2 - Once in the 5-Spot menu, click on Wi-Fi Settings in the top menu, then click on Basic in the settings menu. Choose a dedicated Frequency/Channel from the Frequency (Channel) dropdown menu. Channels 2 and 9 are good choices as they are not close to the most frequently used channels, 6 and 11, which should be avoided. Once selected, click on Apply in the lower right corner of the screen. Applying these settings will cause the Wi-Fi on the 5-Spot to reset. This can be observed on the device as the Wi-Fi indicator light goes out briefly then comes back on. VZAM should automatically reconnect to the service on the dedicated channel. Close the internet browser session and the device is ready for use on the newly selected channel.
