Check the Device Manager for Yellow ! or ? if there's a driver issue then it will be shown there.

Unplug the device and close VZAM.

1. Click on the Start button and go to Control Panel>Phone and Modems   (Look in the upper right part of the control panel window and the "View By" section should be changed to Large Icons to find easily)

2. If it asks for your location information type an area code and click OK, if not go to next step

3. Click on the "Modems" tab.  Look at the modems in the list, if you see your device listed, click on each one then click "Remove" and click OK.

Place the device back in the computer, give Windows a moment to "Find New Hardware" and tell you it's Ready to use.

If Windows doesn't install the drivers let me know I'll give you another thing to try.
