...when is it going to come to the Charleston, SC area?!!! Don't get me wrong, I don't mind having Comcast Xfinity, but I just feel like having FiOS would not only be better, but cheaper as well.

I tried that...it won't let me register under the "Residential" section because I don't have a residential account...only a wireless account.

You have to register and create a community only ID.
