Verizon Technicolor TG790 home fusion router

I have a Verizon Technicolor TG790 home fusion router that I would like to put in bridge mode so I can use a router I have as the main router.  Can anyone help with this?  I am not a computer wiz so I need very specific instructions.

For one big network use the LAN to LAN steps.  For two separate networks use the LAN to WAN steps.

The VZW homefusion router you mention here does not have a bridge mode feature.  All that means is that there is no automatic way to configure what you want.  You will have to manually configure the routers to co-exist with each other.  That means following the Cisco steps

Verizon Technicolor TG790 Home Fusion Router called “Verizon Wireless LTE-Internet-Installed” proper or HBR for short. You can simulate bridge mode by doing two things. Turn off Wireless in the HBR, communication will be with an Ethernet cable between the HBR and your router’s WAN port. Next, the HBR will automatically assign your router an IP address, but it will not put that IP address in the HBR’s DMZ – you have to manually do that to bypass the HBR’s firewall. This is as close to bridge mode as you can get.

If I do it that way will the remaining Ethernet ports on the back of the HBR still work?

My router is located in my master closet along with my structured media panel. I want to place another wireless router in the family room for a stronger wifi signal but still want to send out a wired signal to various Ethernet jacks throughout the house.

Is it possible to remove the card inside the TG790 and replace it with a phone sim? I have unlimited data and only 40gb for the home fusion. I live out in the country and this is the only internet I get. My LTE signal is only good enough on the roof of my house and non existent in the house.

Great question mehoff88. The device actually does not support the use of a cell phone SIM card. It would have to be a SIM card designed for the TG790 device. Please keep us posted if you have any additional questions or concerns regarding this issue as we are here for you.
