Verizon coverage map is a JOKE

The coverage map is a joke. We volunteer in State parks in TX and NM. The coverage map for NM shows no coverage and we accept that. On the other hand part of why we came to the TX park was the map showed full 3G coverage. Well we barely get 1G coverage here, yet the map of this entire area shows full 3G. no we haven't called Verizon because all you would get is results may vary do to BAH BAH BAH, yeah right for an entire area. So when you are traveling don't count on the map for anything close to being right. Maybe this is why they claim better coverage than AT&T, remember the TV ads comparing maps well when you fake the map of course you look great.

Understand their maps only show there is coverage, not the strength of the signal.

1G or 3G has nothing to due with signal strength. It is either provided in that area or not. We have 4 bars in 1G only no 3G available when the map shows 3G available in this area. DUH

Signal strengths of -100dBm or less the less likely of keeping a 3G connection. -105 or less you will not have anything.
