Verizon will not develop the patch, the hardware manufacturer will.  Verizon is only the distribution tool/network connection used to get the patch from the manufacturer to the client devices.

If you really want an update then contact the hardware manufacturer for more details.  When its ready they will provide the update to Verizon where you can download and install it through the normal distribution channels.

That being said, chances are your device is a low priority for the manufacturer.  Each individual device needs to be opened up and patched.  The newer and higher volume devices get all the attention in these scenarios.  The rest will get their updates as time allows from there.  The best thing you can do is to continue checking in for updates from time to time until something is available.  If your time restrictions cannot be met then consider swapping/upgrading your device to another.  This is where Verizon can assist you if you have remaining warranty support.  The device is effectively disabled as long as it is vulnerable and Verizon may be able to provide you with another model that is patched as a solution.

JAMWEI80,

Keeping your device secure is a big deal. We want to make sure you know what to expect. I looked into your device but no update has been announced yet. You can keep an eye out for the latest updates though at http://vz.to/14Y5fXy
