We have been using Mi-Fi devices for years. We just upgraded to the Jetpack. 2 of our 4 computers work great. They do everything EXCEPT download unread messages, from Gmail into Outlook. We have 2 Jetpacks and the same thing happens on both. The computers that do not wortk at running Windows 7 and Vista, the ones that work are XP. They worked just fine with the prior devices and they work just fine when logged onto other wireless networks and DSL.
When reading a server not found error occurs.
Can someone help please...

Try this: disable IPv6 in the Jetpack or enable IPv6 in Outlook 2007, 2010, or 2013. Older versions do not support IPv6. If you ping pop.gmail.com it will likely return an IPv6 address (Server not found) while Outlook is expecting IPv4.

stewartslanding,
We appreciate you reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear that you are having some issues with your jetpacks. Let's take a closer look. A couple of questions for background information that we are going to need. What models do you have? Are the computers current with all software updates? We look forward to your assistance.

If the Jetpack works correctly with everything except for a particular application, then the application is at fault and needs to be reconfigured. I say that because you cannot make changes to a Jetpack that will influence how you access the internet and vice versa. Everything that could impact that communication is controlled and locked down by VZW.
I suggest checking with the Outlook folks on their communities. See what kinds of changes and configurations you can try to re-route your gmail communication. If that doesn't work because VZW is not letting it through then consider the other known work around which is setting up a VPN to a network where the communication is allowed through.
Seems like some folks have tried discussing this subject here:
