Windows 7 - Teathering BlackBerry

For about 8 months, I have been teathering my BlackBerry Storm2 to run my home computer (Windows XP).  I recently bought a new computer with Windows 7.  It will occasionally run at 3g speeds, but most of the time it doesn't.  I spoke with tech. support several times and got nowhere.  Is there anything I can do to get back my 3g speeds or is there a solution coming soon?  Any info would be greatly appreciated.
