I recently received a new modem from Verizon, and now I can't use my wireless router! The modem is the WESTELL 6110F and the router is the LINKSYS-G 2.4GHz WRT54G. Please Help! Thank You.

You probably don't need the router. I thought the same thing as I have the exact same router. However, I found out the new modem is also a wireless router! I had to talk to tech support to find that out. Connect your computer directly to the Verizon modem (not via the router first). Then use your xp or vista or whatever to search for wireless access. Your modems name and password are on label on the modem itself. Hope i helpted.

You should be able to use your Linksys Router along with the Verizon Router.
You can assign a new address to your Linksys, disable the DHCP Server on the Linksys, and connect a Lan Port from the Verizon Router to a Lan Port on the Linksys Router. You can also turn off the wireless on the Verizon Router.
There are numerious ways to configure them together. Here is a good link for additional information:

The question bears asking...why do you need the lynksis router if verizon's router is also a wireless router the same as the lynksis? that is having redundant equipment. I have been using verizon's wireless access since last september and it has been fine.♦
