hi, i'm using a jetpak 4g lte hotspot and i've just recently had an issue with me and my roomates smartphones being disconnected from our jetpak, and now not being able to reconnect again. we haven't touched anything we don't think. so we/re kind of lost as to why it would be kicking us off of our wifi device and not letting us connect again.... its a pain in the butt getting time to go to a store to get something like this fixed. does anybody know what we can do to make our iphones wifi t work again?

sincerly, navy sub schooler

Try working through the various resets to see if you can resolve any of these local connection problems on your own.  Chances are all your JetPack needs is a simple reboot every now and then to refresh itself.

Level 1 Reset:

  1. Power down the MiFi
  2. Let the MiFi sit for 30 seconds
  3. Power on the MiFi
  4. Test the connection

Level 2 Reset:

  1. Power down the MiFi
  2. Remove the back cover
  3. Remove the battery
  4. Remove the SIM card
  5. Allow the MiFi to sit for 30 seconds
  6. Reassemble the MiFi
  7. Test the Connection

Level 3 Reset

  1. Power on the MiFi
  2. Remove the back cover
  3. Press and hold the Reset button next to the battery for 10 seconds
    a. Paper clip seems to work best for pressing the reset button
    b. Watch the MiFi E-Ink display to see if all the icons are displayed
  4. Release the Reset button
  5. Reassemble the MiFi
  6. Test your connection

Hi there Navymms2!

Wow I always pair up my phone to my jetpack so I know how important it is! I'm sorry you guys weren't able to get up and running.

John Getzke provided some very solid information for the mifi unit. (Thank you!)

I would also recommend to "forget" or remove/readd the wifi connection on both of your cell phones.

If you have questions on how to do so, let us know what phone types you have!

Thanks!
