I play on xbox live all the time. Since Xbox doesn't have a built in wireless adapter (like PS3) I have my Mifi tethered to my computer and then I "SHARE" my internet connection so my xbox can use it. I have been monitoring my usage feverently. I can play for one hour on xbox live and it uses 25MB. Currently I have been playing Halo: REACH but when I switch to a different game like GTA IV it uses only 15MB/per hour.
Since I have graduated college, I mainly use my MIFI to play on xbox live and do mild internet surfing/facebooking. I understand that a PS3 might be different but from what I have recorded it uses 25MB/per hour. I didn't think that was too bad.
*PS I did not download anything to the xbox (extras, game maps, avatar stuff, etc.) My number is based solely on multiplayer online gaming. Hope this helps
I just recently have the mifi 2200 5gig plan.. The dude told me it wont use much, say 4 hours of playing is about half a gig, a day.. not really too much... now youtube is a totally different story, I had my littlr brother on his ipod streaming you tube vids all day and now I almost over my limit, this is in 5 days.. Lol.. .. 10$ , for every gig I go over.. .. hmm
