when running the Secure profile two devices on the mifi network cannot see each other even though they both appear on the connected device list in the admin console.
The devices can see each other when running the Open profile.
Anyone have any ideas as to why this is?
When running the Mifi on the secure profile this means that the Wireless security must be enabled and that all wireless connections will not be visible due to the security feature. On an open profile it means that
No Wireless security is possible and that any wireless connection are visible to each other due to the security being disabled. I hope that this was helpful. thanks, Brittney. this explains what is happening, but not why. when two devices join a secure wifi network they can typically see each other. Sprint's mifi device works this way. not sure why Verizon is different or why this should work differently than any other secure wifi network..
