I am traveling to Spain for a week and want to get broadband service (internet cafe not an option). I use a Mac and Verizon told me I needed a XU 875, which is a card not a USB mobile device so it's useless advice. Anyone have a suggestion for a dongle to use/rent as well as what service, Orange, Vodaphone, etc. I would rather get this done here before I arrive in Spain if I can.
Thanks

There is the USB1000 that is global capable just released by Verizon. You should be able to rent this on your Verizon account to use while in Spain. Call the Global Support team and ask how much it would be: 800-711-8300.

Thanks. Called them and you need to buy the USB 1000. They only rent the XU 870. But they have a 30 day refund policy as well as pro-rate the $129/100 MG plan so I think this will be the best solution. Hopefully this unit will work as well as the UM175 USB in both the Mac environment as well as Windows XP when I use Parallels. I won't know until I get there since they say the 1000 unit will only work overseas.
