Powered down. Released SIM card. Put it back in. Powered up. Same problem. Can't connect and data usage is not available at this time.

Have you tried Resetting the Jetpack User Guide?

You cannot get a detailed breakdown of data usage with a Prepaid data device. However, you can get totals in the form of “X MB used of Y MB” (or GB), from the device, My Verizon, and the Mobile Broadband Portal. Are you able to get Data Usage through My Verizon and the Mobile Broadband Portal?
It seems to me something is wrong with your device if My Verizon and the MBP have data usage whereas something is wrong with your account configuration at Verizon if nothing has data usage. Call Prepaid Customer Service (888) 294-6804 to report the issue.

Today around 11:30 am eastern time. It was working fine then internet
stopped. Checked the jetpack thinking i had PLENTY of data left but "data
usage not available..."

I do thank you for your time flimflamhall. We do not handle prepaid accounts. However you can reach them by calling them at 888-294-6804 and press1 for English or 2 for Spanish and enter in the mobile number.Then you would press prompt 4, press prompt 6 and then press Prompt 4. I am confident they will be able to assist you.
