usb720 external antenna

hi   i bought a 13db external antenna for my usb720, it hasnt seemed to make any difference.  is their a setting somewhere for this or should it just recognize the antenna on its own?

There are no settings on the antenna.You can also check your signal strength on the USB 720. I have provided some steps below to assist you.

 

1. From the top menu of VZ Access Manager, click Help > About VZAccess Manager


2. Verify the RSSI.
Note For a reliable connection, the RSSI should be greater than -95 dBm (e.g. -73 dBm). A value of -125 dBm indicates no signal. If the signal is between -95 dBm and -125 dBm, move the device to an alternate location (an outdoor location is preferable).


If the device is experiencing low or no signal strength, ensure the antenna is fully extended and perpendicular to the computer. If signal strength does not improve, move the device to a location where it receives a stronger signal.
