The last two weeks my netbook 1151nr has been blanking out the screen display. Only way to get it back on was to take off battery, unplug power and disconnect mobile hot spot wifi 2200. hold the on button for about 30 seconds(on the advice of a HP tech support). Sometimes it would come back on, other times not until it was good and ready. Was ready to send it in to HP for operating recovery system repairs or they wanted $80. for the purchase of CD drive so that they could send me the recovery disks. . Wifi and netbook were purchased in June, 2009. I have ran diagnostic checks on the hard drive and memory. I have Norton security. I only use this netbook for bare bones use. I have not added any software, nor visited any strange sites or made any updates. I found out this weekend that it would not blank out if I kept the wifi 2200 disconnected. anybody else ever have this happen? I don't know if I should still the netbook in to HP for a recovery system?
