Assuming you are talking about here on the forums, you can set a timed refresh value in your profile under General Settings. I have mine set to 2 minutes, I never get logged out except when I leave myself viewing a thread for an extended period of time. If I leave it on the main forum index or the index for an individual forum the page refreshes regularly.
