Recently, I received emails from the My Verizon community about my community account reaching a milestone since its activation. I have not been a customer with Verizon for several years and would now like delete said account.
However, when trying to access said account, I was locked out. I tried logging using several passwords, I tried to reset my password, but when I had to verify my account with my ZIP code, I tried every ZIP code that I could have possibly used when I was a customer, and yet nothing worked. I tried to access said account by using it like it was ONLY a community account, which allowed me to get a password reset link through the email attached, but when I tried to reset my password, the site told me that I did not have the permission to, specifically using this language attached in the screenshot.
And now, I had to create an entirely new account just to interact with the community so that I could get support.
I want to be able to access this account as well as delete it. As a result of having to make this account as well, I need to delete it.

Hi, I can't get into the first account with information that should be verifiable. That is the first issue, not that I don't know how to navigate community accounts. I just cannot access any way to reset the information on the first account in the first place.

We do apologize, as it is necessary to properly authenticate the account in order to access it and if necessary to delete it.

Yes, that much is obvious. I'm afraid that the information verification is either wrong or compromised. Otherwise, the site simply won't let me access any method to ensure that I can verify myself because I need to apparently be a customer to access a chat bot. I want to verify any information that I ca with a human so that I can access my account and get rid of it. This is an account that I should have closed when I switched away from Verizon.
