I've been here for nearly a year now, and until today it wasn't an issue to post useful Verizon numbers to call such as for Porting or Inside Sales to those who were having problems porting in, or for those who want to migrate their account from postpaid to prepaid service or vice versa. But I just noticed in a post today that when I attempted to post the number for Inside Sales, it was removed. This hasn't happened before?
Upon checking the Terms of Use rules for the forums, there is verbiage in there saying one cannot post personal information such as phone numbers, and that we are not to post phone numbers for businesses. Can certainly understand "no personal info" and "don't advertise for other businesses", but not being able to help others with a Verizon contact number if they are having trouble with something Verizon in the Verizon forums?
I am also noticing that any email addresses are now being removed in my posts. Was trying to help someone asking about the Costco promotion and copied part of the text straight from the thread in the Announcements section about the Costco promo, and the email address was automatically removed. Should I no longer put any phone numbers/email addresses at all into my posts? I don't want to get in trouble.
