Where did all the older threads go?

I've been noticing over the past few days that about 6000 pages worth of threads have been removed from the forums. It's helped make the forums run better, as things were particularly clunky as recently as a couple of months ago when there were about 12,000 pages of threads going all the way back to 2008. Presumably all the old threads have been moved to the mobile or Fios archives, but would someone still be able to find them by using the search function at the top of the forums page?

It's like the Incredible Shrinking Forums, because an additional 2000 or so pages of threads have been archived since my original post, so now only about a third of the original amount of pages are readily viewable in the main forums page. Don't make everything disappear. ๐
