Dear Verizon Leadership Team,

I am writing to commend and express my heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding service provided by your employee, Hughston F., at the Verizon Matthews, NC store. On December 7th and December 13th, Hughston went above and beyond not only as an employee but also as an exceptional individual.

During my visit on December 7th to pick up a store order, Hughston greeted me with a warm smile and a friendly demeanor that instantly brightened my day. His professionalism and customer-focused attitude left a lasting impression. However, it was what transpired after I left the store that truly showcased Hughston’s character and integrity.

Unfortunately, my car was struck by another vehicle in the parking lot after leaving the store. On December 13th, the Matthews Police Department returned to the scene to gather witness statements at my request. Hughston stepped forward to provide an honest and detailed account of what he had observed. His willingness to assist, even though he was not obligated to do so, demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to doing what is right—not just as a Verizon employee, but as a compassionate and fair individual.

Hughston’s integrity and initiative were instrumental in ensuring that justice and fairness prevailed in a difficult situation. It is not every day that someone goes the extra mile, especially outside of their regular job duties. Hughston’s actions reflect a deep sense of responsibility and empathy, qualities that are truly commendable.

I firmly believe Hughston deserves recognition for his exemplary behavior—whether through a formal award or other acknowledgment. Employees like Hughston, who embody integrity, professionalism, and kindness, are invaluable assets to your organization.
