Hi everyone, for decades I have had Directv for my TV, but they keep raising their rates, and, this most recent incident with Tegna has me finally at the point where I want to cancel. I mostly watch TCM, FX, ESPN, college and professional football, college Bball, local TV stations. I currently do not have internet service, I use my iPhone for mobile Hotspot when necessary. My tv is a Panasonic Viera TC-P50U2 and it is not internet capable but I have several HDMI ports and I think I can get a Roku device and use WiFi to take advantage of the Disney, Hulu, ESPN bundle that is included in my current Verizon plan and then be able to get most of the stations I want to watch. If I am correct, I would only need an internet source, in my case, Xfinity cable is available for about $25/month and I could use that to setup a WiFi network that the Roku could use and then I would be good to go. I am a novice in all of this, old school, so I would appreciate any assistance/suggestions you have.
Thanks for your time
