SIM Card provided by Verizon "doesn’t work on our network"

I would like to activate a SIM for my connected device that I'm adding to my account. I went through the process of inputting the device IMEI, ordered a SIM card, and installed it in my device. Unfortunately the SIM card does not seem to work on my connected device or on my primary and active iPhone. When I test activating the SIM on my iPhone, I get the error "Sorry your SIM card doesn't work on our network" even though this is a brand new SIM card directly from Verizon.

Any tips?
