Unable to port phone number from T-Mobile

I am trying to switch my family to Verizon, but two of my T-Mobile numbers are showing as unavailable to port. The numbers are currently active, but it says that Verizon does not service that area or something. Has anyone else resolved this issue?
I have talked with Verizon customer service several times and with T-Mobile once. No one seems to be able to figure out the problem. I would really like to find a way to escalate the problem with the Verizon tech team, but I was told that there isn't anything more that they can do.
