WeChat and the Pay As You Go plan during International travel

If using the Pay As You Go plan during International travel, can I use WeChat? How will it be charged? If I only turn off airplane mode when there is WiFi available, is there a charge from Verizon when I go on the internet?

You don't have to turn off airplane mode to access the wifi radio connection. You can turn on wifi while in airplane mode.

ROBPEL64, we always want you to know all your options during International Travel.  The app WeChat itself uses data or WiFi.  So as long as you’re connected to WiFi, you will not be charged.  However, if you use it while off of WiFi, all charges will be based on how much data is used using the Pay As You Go rates.  Anytime you use a non-Verizon WiFi of any kind, you will not be charged for data no matter where you are located.
