Upon speaking with two alleged Verizon technicians, they each stated that I could connect my Analog TV to the Verizon Wireless Streaming Set-Top Box via an HDMI to RCA (Composite) cables. Verizon stated that the Verizon Wireless Streaming Box 'Encodes' and 'Decodes' the signal. In that respect a converter is unnecessary. I would only believe that the HDMI I was using was a 1.4 (ARC) capable of and limited to 1080P with a total bandwidth of 10.8 gps. Even though I measured not the signal, that would be sufficient to transfer the signal. There really is no need to use a 2.0 or 2.1 (eARC) if the 1.4 "Did Not Work" > 'Common Sense'.
* Two technicians along with customer technical support stated the HDMI to RCA would work: "The cable did not work". I've found nothing but lies from Verizon as their knowledge is lacking. The techs know how to plug in a cable ""That's It". The Verizon Wireless Streaming Box (Pictured) remained with a "Red" Light visible in front and i could not get the light to turn "BLUE" which shows the signal is passing through. Here is a short seven second video of the analysis which shows interruption and signal bars at a level trying to overcome the transmission.
I do not like change and I really cannot comprehend why Verizon cannot help. In addition, Veronica clearly stated via telephone that she would order me the cable and have a Verizon tech install. When the Verizon tech showed up today "For the 3rd Time" Verizon still did not have the cable. i called Verizon and spoke with Tanya who said that Verizon did not have any cables (HDMI to RCA) and that Veronica did not order anything and told or gave me the wrong information. This is absolutely ridiculous and Verizon's business management is nothing more than a sham.
Now, I cannot wire my analog TV that works well in any way AND I refuse to purchase the "JUNK" 4000K DIGITAL TV'S that last about five years. Accompanying the aforementioned, the circuit boards cannot be repaired (Transistors, diodes, or any other semi-conductors). You may as well toss away any new digital TV if there is a mainframe or circuit board problem (Raceway). The boards are really not military grade, rather a cheap set of micro components that cannot be repaired. And, by the time the TV has a problem "The Circuit Boards are No Longer Available". those are the facts. Thanks Verizon.
