locked new phone

 i am a customer for 20+ years with several lines.  i travel internationally often and always use a local SIM. Always worked. well, i got a new pixel 5 from VZ few weeks ago. Just arrived to an international site and discovered my pixel is locked. turns out VZ now locks cells for 60 days or till device is paid off. no one ever told me that. I rely on my cell to do business and ma stuck now without a cell. terrible service. i have a device credit but it shows i own full price still. another  crazy thing.

within 24 hrs of my issue, I received a text from VZ notifying me that the phone has been unlocked. thank you!
