looking for a phone I can use out of the country

I have traveled to Trinidad, West Indies the last 3 years and my Verizon Motorola Droid Ultra, 4 G cell does not work there so I am without cell service.

Is there a phone that provides for use within the USA and other countries?

Almost all the newer smart phones are international phones also. Interestingly your current phone registers and Verizon is compatible with Trinidad. Do you have the right international roaming plan set up ?
