***Announcement: Early next week, we’ll be merging the current Fios and Wireless Communities into the all new Verizon Community! Beginning the evening of Sunday 12/4, both Communities will be placed in read-only mode. You’ll still be able to visit the Communities and browse content, but login will be disabled. On the afternoon of Monday 12/5, all users will be able to log into the new Verizon Community. We expect the new Community to be fully functional the morning of Friday 12/9. Additional details can be found in the Announcements board and under Featured Topics!

It appears we can now create threads.  I also am now seeing edit buttons on our posts.

I got an email notification too.  Thanks to the person (sorry I forget who it was) who put up the instructions to use the "Communications" page to track discussions.  I'll try to find it in the migration discussion and thank them directly.

That was and yes that was very helpful... I now start my VCC reading on the Communications page.

Did I get an email notification for the new thread because I clicked "Follow" from within Places > Customer Council Info?

Yes.  And you can turn that off too.  What you get emailed on can be set fairly granular so you don't get emails every time someone replies to a thread.  I have mine set to email me just on  direct messages, mentions, and friend requests, and to send a twice weekly summary on other activities (new threads and replies).

Excellent!

And, to celebrate, I've just created my first-ever non-vbulletin VCC thread. Smiley Happy

Can't wait to see all the other stuff Jive can do as the new forum matures!
