Just got the 2.2 system update on our 2 Motorola Droid phones. Still getting use to it but biggest complaint is the messaging. The white background is hard on our eyes. Also don't like the new format with pictures next to each text. Anyone know how we can change this? OR do you have a recommendation for an app to switch to since the default messaging isn't what it use to be? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. 😃
I've been using Handcent since I bought my Droid in January and it offers a lot of customization over the stock app. Change background to black, change led color, etc. Make sure you go into settings inside of the stock messaging app and turn off notifications so you don't them twice when you receive a text.
