I called two different techs this morning....the first one kept referring me to my upgrade date but I was eventually able to get her to understand and ask someone else. She came back to the phone and told me that the rollout is not scheduled until later this year when a new android phone comes out....I was not convinced that she knew a thing so I waited about an hour or so and called another representative.
The second representative sounded very confident when talking to me and she placed me on hold to talk with someone else. She told me that the rollout began on Aug. 3rd with a large number of individuals receiving it that day. She said they are continuing to roll the update out and for me to just keep looking for it. So, I asked..."The rollout has not ceased?" She replied, "no, it is still ongoing and you will receive the update, just keep on the look out for it." She sounded so confident and professional that I cannot decide if I believe her or she just fed me **bleep**. I kind of buy it but we will see. I would like to know when others are getting the update....mainly someone mentioning it today.

It seems to me that the push should begin as soon as the stable version is ready. We pay good money for our service every month and, in my opinion, tech support and updates are included in that. They should at least give us a heads up as to what is going on with Froyo...doesn't Verizon have PR people to handle situations like this?
