2.3.20.en.US screws up WIFI

I've searched but have not found anybody else reporting this problem and it has happened to me on 2 Droid 2's.  After installing the 2.3.20.en.US OS, my wifi is spotty-to-broken.  Case in point: voice-to-text never connects to the server; email fails intermittently; browser fails to connect to servers intermittently; same thing with Market.  This is on wifi.  I've not tried 3G as I don't want to take up my data for the month debugging Android.  Nothing would fix it - hard reset, etc.

Talked to Motorola and they say it's VZW and/or Google's problem.  VZW has heard a little about this, but not much.  Must be too early in the release of the software.  Posted this message in case anybody else runs across the same thing.

Tomorrow I'm going back to VZW for my 3rd Droid 2  in 10 days to get the prior OS and this time I won't update to 2.3.20.en.US until the wifi problem gets fixed.

I have noticed this since the update as well. I was hoping the update would fix it. I also had the problem with the previous 2.2.XXX. I find often I need to turn wifi off and back on to refresh the signal because it hangs. The wifi does lock on quicker than before but I still have issues with it hanging. This happens in the Market, YouTube app, or the browser (DolphinHD).

My Wifi comes on without prompting now, and my phone as slowed to a crawl a couple of times since the update. I was adopting a dog yesterday and needed to take a pictures and upload them quickly as I was signing paperwork and the phone slowed drastically, I felt like I had my Touch Pro 2 with WinMo 6.5....it was THAT bad, I had to remove the battery and reboot the phone. I was really disappointed...this is why I switched to an Android platform phone, to get away from the constant freezing of Window's Mobile.

The bottom line, for me, is that my original Droid, functioned much better overall. It almost never froze up, was competent 99% of the time and it didn't bog down that much at all.....I'm starting to get disillusioned with Android. When it was simpler, it worked better, now with Motoblur running in the background and using a Droid 2, with each successive update, it's getting worse.
