2.3.340 Problems, can you go back to 2.3.15?

I am one of the few who got the 2.2.340 update the other night. I see why it shouldn't have been made available, or pushed to some handsets. I am having issues with the update, big time, and am wishing I had never pulled it. So basically I would love to know if there is anyway to revert back to 2.3.15? And would I just be wasting my time calling Verizon Tech Support? And just as a side note, no I don't want to root my phone. Thanks for any help and insight on this issue.

Nope. You could call your local store and ask them if they can flash it back to the other though. If the bootloader was updated though there's no luck in that happening.

All my problems seem to revolve around the phone being plugged in. Everything works fairly well when not plugged in, But the phone does not respond properly to touch actions when plugged in. Examples are, screen freezes, will not respond to keyboard, and last night phone crashed and rebooted after plugging in. As well as Madden, that was a big part of this update, freezes every time it is opened. The phone works well enough to continue using it until gingerbread, but I was just curious if there was a way to just go back to 2.3.15 and go from there. And from what I am gathering, there is no way to do that.

I had the same issue with the screen not responding after my update. I basically turned it off and powered it back on again and that seems to have resolved that. Still dealing with the voicemail activities notifications tho...

I'm assuming that you mean plugged into a wall charger and not a computer. Have you tried pulling the battery and then putting it back in? This usually takes care of some of the problems that you are having. As for going backward in upgrades, unfortunately, as you probably found out already, that can not be done.

Try checking for any possible incompatible apps installed that may be causeing your issues, also I also thought I would also point out the update just realease (2.3.340) is a bugfix version on Froyo not Gingerbread, Droid X has not recieved this update as of yet.

I am fully aware of that wolfman. But thanks for tying to help.
And to the last poster, I downloaded mine over wi-fi. 3g kept dropping out that night.
All is working well again on the phone, I am happy, thanks ya'll.

yea i did mine thru wi-fi aswell my 3g kept going out. I found out thru Android-Central that Verizon Was having issues with the 3g it was allot smoother anyway thru my Wi-fi and I new if I did it that way it would get a true an positive signal thru it and there would be no lag as it would any way with 3g Anytime A major update comes out it should be done thrue Wi-fi if possible.
